One of a Kind Tulipiere Vase

$500.00

This special piece was part of a collection of 30 one of a kind vases I made honoring women in my life in 2025. Tulipiere vases have a history dating back to the 1600’s featuring multiple openings to arrange single stem tulips as their name suggests. This vase features 3 openings and measures 6” in diameter , 11” tall and 7.5” at the widest. Glazed in white gloss glaze with a stripe of bare clay and hand carved this unique piece was named after Dr. Jane Goodall who I worked for in the late 1990’s. You can find out more about the Vessels & Voices collection and view a recap of the show here. The description below was part of the show and allows a window into the woman I honored with this unique piece:

Jane Goodall lived her life in service to saving wildlife, the planet and future generations. Having had the opportunity to work at The Jane Goodall Institute Canada in my early twenties was an utter dream come true. Jane had a tremendously dry sense of humor, and I will always remember an elevator ride during which she proceeded to sit on the floor deciding she would change her perspective and see what the ride felt like from there. She sparked such awe and conviction in me to follow my heart and I’m forever grateful to have had the opportunity to have a job so early in my career that aligned with my ethics and my animal activism.
