There is nothing like sipping your favorite beverage out of a hand made tumbler or mug but it’s even BETTER when the vessel is made by YOU! Lyndsay Dean will guide you through the design and creation of your very own drinking vessel in this fun and casual one day workshop. Learn how to create a 3D piece from a flat slab of clay. Choose to decorate with texture or raised elements, add a handle or dimples for that perfect grip and Lyndsay will glaze your piece in a glaze color of your choosing. Finished pieces can be picked up 3-4 weeks later. Shipping is also available if you’re just in town for a short time!
Your Artist Instructor:
Lyndsay Meiklem Dean has been creating functional pottery for nearly 3 decades. She opened Meiklem Kiln Works Clay Studio in 2002 where her passion for the medium was passed onto others through wheel thrown pottery and hand building clay classes. The community studio provided a venue for a variety of art classes and hosted many professional visiting artist instructors over the course of seventeen years. In 2018 Lyndsay pivoted her career to dedicate more time to her personal growth in clay and opened Glaze Handmade, which currently houses her studio and retail shop in Stonington, CT.
