I first learned about watercolor from a friend in high school and we would go on excursions to natural parks and waterways and sit and do plein air painting, before I knew there was a name for it! I continued painting still life scenes in my college dorm room and into my 20’s. When I discovered my passion for clay I let my love for watercolor fall to the side but 2025 became ‘the year of the flowers’ for me and my love of painting with watercolors has made a resurgence. I love painting free form flowers and have been practicing my drawing skills in taking on the adventure of painting animal portraits to support my friends at Odd Man Inn, in particular the pigs! Stay tuned as my journey continues and I have more paintings to share with you!

One of my favorite things to do is create floral arrangements on paper, no reference material except what my own creativity brings to light. This original painting measures approx 4×5” and comes in a thrifted wooden frame. I love giving old frames new life! Please not this is not UV rated glass and the best way to ensure this painting stands the test of time is to keep it out of direct sunlight.
