Make an Oyster Platter: Saturday October 25, 10am-1pm

$75.00

Share a fun morning steeped in creative energy and sculpt your own oyster shaped Platter. We will create simple drape molds and use slabs of clay and coils to construct our oysters after which we will paint and blend various colors to achieve a shell “look”. Your shells will need to sit and dry and go through two firings before they are ready to pick up approx 4 weeks later.

PLEASE NOTE: This is an IN PERSON workshop held at Glaze Handmade

Your Artist Instructor:

Lyndsay Meiklem Dean has been creating functional pottery for nearly 3 decades. She opened Meiklem Kiln Works Clay Studio in 2002 where her passion for the medium was passed onto others through wheel thrown pottery and hand building clay classes. The community studio provided a venue for a variety of art classes and hosted many professional visiting artist instructors over the course of seventeen years. In 2018 Lyndsay pivoted her career to dedicate more time to her personal growth in clay and opened Glaze Handmade, which currently houses her studio and retail shop in Stonington, CT.
