$70.00

PLEASE NOTE: this is an IN PERSON class held at Glaze Handmade Wednesday September 24, 2025, 6-8pm

PLEASE READ our studio policies below

Learn to paint loose lovely florals and frame your loved ones in colorful blooms! In this class we'll begin by practicing leaf and petal shapes, and then plan our floral surround to complement a photo or quote you've chosen - essentially a mat for your photo, which will fit into a standard size frame that you can purchase ready made - to suit your decor. Our project will be roughly 9”x12”

**Please bring with you:

-a black and white photo of your choice printed on cardstock preferably, alternately you could print out a favorite quote to frame with florals!

-Your favorite watercolor paints if you have some, we will have some to share

- brushes (sizes 6 & a 10 or 12 round) if you have your own, we will have some to loan.

-Paper will be provided but you’re welcome to bring your own if you have a favorite

We'll learn:

- drawing/painting floral shapes- paint consistency and handling watercolor-brush strokes

- page design and layout-color harmony

-putting it all together (You'll go home with it ready to insert into your chosen frame)

ALSO -thinking 'out of the box' for coming up with projects

Artist Instructor: Roxanne Steed

Thoughts  from Roxanne:   I love helping people re-discover their sense of creativity, to find that sense of lightness in their heart and home.  Whether it's through beautiful art for their surroundings, or learning to take part in the creative process themselves.  I love helping people to find a place for art in their lives, and renew their spirit.  Come- let me show you that you can paint, too!
